JEREMIAH'S CALL

 JEREMIAH  1:4 - Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying.                                                                                                      :5 - Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophrt unto the nations.                                                                  :6 - Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child.                                                                                                        : 7 - But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, whatsoever I command thee thou shall speak.                                                                                      :8 - Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.                                                                                      :9 - Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the said unto me, Behold, I have pt my words in thy mouth.    :10 - See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.                                                      ________________________________________________________  JEREMIAH was the major prophet during the decline and fall of Judah's southern kingdom. He prophesied during the reigns of the last five kings of Judah. Jeremiah was born in the village of Anathoth, situated north of Jerusalem in the territory of Benjamin.                        ________________________________________________________ [ VERSES  1:--2 - The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priest that was in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:                        ________________________________________________________ :2 - To whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Armon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.      ________________________________________________________  Called to the prophetic ministry in the thirteenth year of godly Josiah's reign, about 627 B.C., Jeremiah's ministry lasted more than 40 years, extending beyond the fall of Jerusalem in 586 B.C. His call actually had been planned by God before his birth                                                ________________________________________________________  VERSE  :5 - Before I formed theein the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.                                            ________________________________________________________  The nature of his ministry consisted of tearing down and rebuilding uprooting and planting                                                                            ________________________________________________________ VERSE  :10 - See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.                                                

AND THAT'S THE WAY IT WAS!

BUT GOD'S MERCY IS GREAT, AND HE LOVED US VERY MUCH. THOUGH WE WERE SPIRITUALLY DEAD BECAUSE OF THE THINGS WE DID AGAINST GOD, HE GAVE US NEW LIFE WITH CHRIST. YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED BY GOD"S GRACE.
